Before last night’s Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s action between the Halifax Mooseheads and Saint John Sea Dogs, Boston Bruins 2017 sixth round selection Cedric Pare missed the last four games due to what’s being called a minor injury but returned to the Sea Dogs last night to be the games Second Star with a four-point effort.

After a short time recovering from his injury, Pare a 6′-2″ 201-pound center was a key player in last night’s 7-2 victory over Halifax even though his efforts were overshadowed by fellow teammate Daniel Hardie’s hat-trick and voted the first star of the game. Pare got back on track offensively at the 15:51 mark of the first period with his sixth goal to get his Sea Dogs the 1-1 tying goal on the power play assisted by Radim Salda and Ostap Safin.

Cedric’s second goal was once again scored on the man advantage at the 14:42 mark of the third period as the center got another helper from fellow teammate Salda and player of the game Hardie for his seventh goal of the season and a 6-2 lead.

The Bruins prospect finished the game and capped off an amazing return to the ice and as mentioned above a four-point effort and even though he was not in the lineup for almost two weeks he has 6-4-10 numbers in his last ten games. He did play well in his first ten games of the season but was only limited to 1-1-2 numbers and has really been a factor lately with increased hard work to be a better two-way player and it’s showing on the stat sheets.

Pare and his 5-12-4-2 Sea Dogs team are back in action tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Prince Edward Island to play the 11-8-1-0 Charlottetown Islanders. Puck drops from the EastLink Centre at 3pm and the Bruins prospect look s add to last night success in chasing his second two-game point streak of the season.

About Mark Allred Jr

Long-time Boston Bruins fan and former beer league goaltender for over 30-years on the ice, Inline, and Dek-Hockey throughout New England. Retired and needed a hobby so writing about the B's talent in the lower levels of developmental hockey is my favorite topic and main focus. It's important to know about tomorrow's stars today in my opinion.
