According to Todd D. Milewski of the Wisconsin State Journal, Wisconsin Badgers forward and Boston Bruins 2016 first round draft pick Trent Frederic was injured in a practice session held yesterday (Thursday, November 17, 2016) morning at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

Badgers head coach, and former long-time NHL player Tony Granato confirmed that the first-year collegiate player will miss this weekend’s series against Merrimack College and could miss more time with an upper-body injury.

Frederic’s played in eight games this season and had contributed 10 points (4-6-10) which have him tied for the team lead with Grant Besse (3-7-10) who’s played in seven games. The 18-year-old center from St. Louis, Missouri has been a key player on special teams leading the Badger team in power-play goals (3) and shorthanded goals (1).  The 6′-2″ 201-pound forward is also tied for the team lead in shots with 25.

About Mark Allred Jr

Long-time Boston Bruins fan and former beer league goaltender for over 30-years on the ice, Inline, and Dek-Hockey throughout New England. Retired and needed a hobby so writing about the B's talent in the lower levels of developmental hockey is my favorite topic and main focus. It's important to know about tomorrow's stars today in my opinion.
