The 4-5-2 Providence Bruins beat the 3-6-0 Binghamton Senators last night at the Veterans Center Arena in Binghamton, New York by the score of 4-2. Although there were many positive contributions from other Baby B’s players during last night’s contest, the story of the game was the play of goaltender Malcolm Subban and his first 2016-17 AHL victory.

Before last night’s road win the 22-year-old Toronto, Ontario native struggled to start the season going 0-5-1 with a 3.56 goals-against-average and a dismal .884 save percentage. The fourth-year pro stood tall in the crease turning away 38 of 40 Senator shots and got a huge boost of confidence in the win. The 2012 first round selection of the Boston Bruins has appeared in 102 career AHL games posting a 46-36-15 record, a career 2.68 goals-against-average and .908 save percentage.

About Mark Allred Jr

Long-time Boston Bruins fan and former beer league goaltender for over 30-years on the ice, Inline, and Dek-Hockey throughout New England. Retired and needed a hobby so writing about the B's talent in the lower levels of developmental hockey is my favorite topic and main focus. It's important to know about tomorrow's stars today in my opinion.
